Frequently asked pricing questions
Why are short trips more expensive per kilometre?
1
Short trips involve more stopping and starting, plus higher time-to-distance ratio, so the rate is slightly higher to cover effort and vehicle costs.
What does a minimum booking mean?
2
The minimum ensures your time is fairly compensated. For short trips it is 1 hour. For return trips with waiting (appointments, shopping) it is 2 hours.
Are the kilometre rates flexible?
3
The rates are tiered based on distance: $1.30/km short, $1.10/km medium, $0.90/km long-distance. This keeps longer trips fair for clients while covering costs.
Do you confirm total cost before the trip?
4
Yes! I always calculate and confirm the full cost with the client before booking to avoid surprises.
Why is this more than a rideshare like DIDI/Uber?
5
Rideshares only cover transport. My service includes support, waiting, assistance, and continuity with a familiar driver.
Can I book for a one-way trip?
6
Yes, short trips or one-way trips are billed at the 1-hour minimum rate plus kilometre cost.
